"Welcome Sun" Mindful Living Arts Studio, Walnut Creek, CA
Having recently relocated to the Bay area, Chris Arcucci owner on Mindful Living Arts was looking for a way to create an inviting, healing space for her clients to open, receive, and grow. Chris also wanted to create a momentum for a thriving business in a new area, and a Sacred Space that would nourish and support her in her work. During her consultation we looked at the kind of experience she wanted to provide for her clients, as well as where she wanted her business to be in the years to come. I was moved by how Chris puts her heart into her work and genuinely cares about the people whose lives she touches, by helping them improve their health & lifestyle. The painting embodies this Spirit of heart and warmth which is behind everything that Chris does.

When I spoke with Tori and Marla the owners of The Still Point Yoga, I was struck by the desire they have for their clients to have an empowering healing experience. The approach is grounded and dynamic, for both the individual clients and staff relations. The Still Point is a place where you are invited to enter your healing journey and engage with a community of like-minded people for support and inspiration. I wanted to capture this essence in the paintings for The Still Point.
Tori and Marla wanted to work more consciously with the energies of their business for harmony, productivity, and prosperity. The paintings create a WOW experience for their clients, and the word has spread quickly about what a special place The Still Point Yoga is. A white rose theme for the foyer and alcove of the Spire Meditation Center in Berkeley CA. The striking architecture of this building creates an uplifting feeling. The painting accompanies this with a range of subtle gradients.
Two layers of stencils are used to create depth and a space with dimension. The white rose symbolizes purity of heart and reflects the client's intent for a quiet reflective space where people can receive the calling of the Spirit. |
